I am an Assistant Professor of Communication Studies and Theatre at the University of Sioux Falls. In addition to my position at the university where I teach directing, acting and dramatic literature, I direct 3-4 shows a year.
I co-own Ephemeral Productions, a theatre company that mounts award winning plays that features women.
I am currently writing three books: a children's book with the working title, "What's Your Name?" I continue to collect interviews by the today's leading actors, directors and playwrights in the theatrical arena as they respond to the essay's of Anne Bogart's A Director Prepares: Seven Essays on Art and Theatre. Specifically, they are responding to the words: Memory, Violence, Eroticism, Terror Stereotype, Embarrassment and Resistance and their place in the process of making art. My final book is a personal series of stories about growing up on a farm in SD, and as the oldest child, dealing with my father's struggle with cancer.
I am an independent and corporate communication consultant and inspirational speaker. If you are interested in booking me for your individual or professional needs, please contact me at Kim.Creative.Consulting@gmail.com
